Description: | Each year, the GIS Development and Computer Systems Analysis Unit of the Office of Inventory & Forecasting, of the Bureau of Policy and Planning, of the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) releases its Cartographic/Transportation data on CD-ROM. In 2003, this GIS data, found on a two volume set, was provided for the sixth time. Volume I contains mapping files that are in a ‘.dgn’ format. These data are intended for use with industry standard CADD software. Volume II includes the Traffic Accident Viewing System (TAVS), a PC based Microsoft Windows application that displays and prints traffic accident data based on criteria selected and/or input by the user. The application contains traffic accident data for the seven year period 1995-2002. Also on the second volume is a Traffic Count Locator Program that allows users to query for point specific ADT's and 24 hour count information along the state's roadways and selected local roadways. | |
