Description: GNAHRGIS is a web-based, interactive data catalog and GIS tool that provides access to geospatial information about Georgia’s natural, archaeological, and historic resources. The system is the product of collaboration among a number of State agencies, including Georgia DOT, and the University of Georgia. Currently, archeologists and historians use it to conduct background research on of resources in a particular area before going out into the field. Georgia DOT is currently working to update the tool and make sure the data included are as comprehensive as possible.

14 Practice: State Map Photo Contest

Description: Web application that allows the general public to submit photos in a contest to be included on the State Highway Transportation Map. Photos are uploaded and either geocoded by header information or pinpoint location by the submitter on the map. Photos are then routed for selection by the State Transportation Board members. This allowed greater public involvement into the process and greater transparency in how photos are selected.

Description: Georgia's TADA provides data collected from the Georgia Traffic Monitoring Program located on public roads. The application uses a dynamic mapping interface to allow the user to access data from the map and in a variety of report, graph, and data export formats.

Description: Map allows for digitizing actual project locations and auto-populating percentage of project within Congressional, House, Senate, and other boundaries. Project lines are snapped to road centerlines within tolerances and captures linear referencing information for writing back to the Transportation Project database (TPro). Allows for adding projects as lines or areas. Allows for digitizing proposed project re-alignments and automatically updating database information when re-alignments are approved by the State Transportation Board.
