A summary report for the webcast presented by John D'Arville of Alabama DOT (ALDOT) has been posted to the GIS in Transportation website. Mr. D'Arville's presentation focused on ALDOT's Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Program. The program has required coordination between FAA requirements and Alabama state laws, and the program is continuing to evolve with improved basic operator training and the opening of the UAS Command Center. The latest peer exchange report is now available here! This report covers our spring peer exchange that showcased the Geographic Information System (GIS)
applications being used for maintenance purposes across the U.S., and discusses challenges, needs, and
issues that agencies face in implementing maintenance activities. This event was hosted by Pennsylvania DOT, with participation from the Maryland State Highway Administration and North Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia DOTs.
